Dundee Ladies Speakers Club

achieving speaking confidence
Home     About Us     Links     Photos     Contact Us
Dundee Ladies Speakers Club aims to help women develop their speaking skills in a supportive environment.
All our members know how terrifying speaking in public can be. We have helped each other to improve our skills and we can help you too.

A normal meeting will run something like this:

  • two speeches of between 6 and 8 minutes on any subject of the speakers choice
  • two speeches evaluating these first two speeches
  • coffee/tea break- time to catch up with everyone's news
  • topics session- a series of impromptu speeches each lasting about 3 minutes on a whole variety of subjects

Our members span a wide range of ages and experiences. We have members who have been with us longer than they care to admit and members who come along for a year or two before moving on with their new-found skills.
At Dundee Ladies Speakers Club we pride ourselves on our friendliness and supportiveness. We have fun at our meetings and our room often rings with laughter.

If this appeals to you why not visit us? You are welcome to come along to a couple of meetings as our guest before deciding whether to join. If you would like any further information please don't hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to meeting you.

"I never thought I could stand up in front of people and speak with confidence.
Now I know I can and although
I still feel pretty terrified I have gained the skills to overcome that dreadful feeling."
